How do I save a document to be safe?

Almost all the people to store files in the folder My Documents. This folder is a folder of the computer standard to store our documents. There is one tips so that we can save the data available in the My Documents folder, so that the loss of data we can avoid early as possible.

Please note that where the 'original folder' from the My Documents is there in C: \ Documents and Settings \ Username \ My Documents. You can check it by right click on the My Documents folder and select Properties. Note the Target Folder Location box, that is where My Documents is the data that is stored.

Storing the data in these locations is less safe, why?. If an error when our computer (can not get into Windows for example) so that there is no other way to fix our computers except the Windows format, so hard for us to save the data for My Documents is located in C, and so did the Windows format automatically all the data in My Documents 'will disappear'. Formatting the Windows equivalent to remove 'all data' in the drive / partition C.

It is still able to be saved, among others, by copying the My Documents folder to another drive (as drive D, E, etc.) through DOS, or move it through the coffee disk (hard disk installed on our computers of others), but the above ways quite inconvenient for us. There is a trick so that we can save the data in My Documents which is to move the target from the location of My Documents to another partition, say D, E and so on.

The way is easy, namely:

Right click on Start and select Explore
In the partition / drive other than C (eg in the drive / partition D), create a new folder with the name of my data (or other name you at will)
Right click on the My Documents folder and select Properties
Click the Move .... In the box that appears, find the folder you created earlier. If so, click OK - OK. In reply box appears, click Yes.
You can check:
The contents of My Documents folder = Fill my data folder (on the drive / partition D)

Thus, if an error when your computer should be in Windows format, so all data My Document will be saved because no longer stored on drive C, but was moved to drive D.

This is very important to do because many people who have lost data in the My Documents when done the Windows format. If you do these tips, then something like this would not happen to you.

Description:
The format for Windows is the process of reinstalling Windows, in other words, your Windows is replaced with a new 'total'
Drive / partition is the division of hard drive location for data storage in computers. If you open Windows Explorer, then usually be seen writing (C), (D), (E) and so on. The parts are useful for 'divide' our data storage location. Unless the drive / partition to CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, drive / partition is not working to save the data but serves to read CDs / DVDs.
